keepin' you all up to speed on what's happening with the Sin::

first off, the recording is finished, after 6 days in the studio, the bands completed their 5 song debut EP and if you have a copy of their 3 song demo and you dig that, then you're going to really dig this! the band is just finishing up the mixing with master producer John Paul Peters and then the album will be shipped off to get mastered. During this process the band has been patiently waiting on the artwork from the incredible JP Fournier from France, who has done work with Dragonforce, Edguy, Avantasia, and Pharoah just to name a few. keep yourself up to date on what's happening with the band and when they will announce their CD release!!

we're sorry for the delay on any updates as of late but the Sin have been extremely busy working on their upcoming 5 song EP, recording with the master John Paul Peters at Private Ear.

the Sin have been doing nothing else but hiding away in the studio forging what will be an epic 5 song EP set for a spring release!

they have now officially completed the songs and now the tunes are entering the mixing stage. from there it will be sent away to be mastered.

once mixing is complete, the Sin will get back to work on some new tunes which were set aside during the recording and also start booking shows for the summer.

Seventh Sin are going into the studio to record there first official EP!! The Sin are recording with famed producer John Paul Peters at Private Ear Studio in Winnipeg early February to lay down 5 of their most epic tracks!

The Sin have also locked in the artist who will be doing the entire layout for the EP, JP Fournier who has done work with Avantasia, Edguy, Pharoah, and Dragonforce, just to name a few.

Seventh Sin is a Hard Rock / Metal six piece band,
which should be tested by friends of more traditional
hard sounds. In times of the internet it is easily possible
to get the self distributed EP by amazon.de.

"Torn apart" starts like Thunderhead from Hannover in
their best times. Seventh Sin
moreover are backing their cutting sound with a non
dominating organ. Especially singer Aarom (Really
printed with a "m" in the booklet) reminds in the
beginning sequence strongly on Ted Bullet. That don?t
keep going on! Either the booklet is lying or Aarom is
able to wind himself up immediately from Bullets raw
voice to the highest heights of Rob Halford ? and that in
the way that there never is a moment of lack in power.

"Demon I am" the longest track of the shortie is
responsible for the more quiet parts. But not only for that.
They are to be found in the middle of the five minute
piece ? and it is sweeping along to hear how the band
is ascending from the quiet lowland back to full power.

A great prelude that makes us hope the classical
metalheads will soon be sent to
german stages. Cause this smart three song CD is calling
out to be played live. (18 out of 20)

first off, we want to wish all of our fans, friends and families a happy new year and all the best in 2010!!

2010 is looking to be a busy year for Seventh Sin. we have confirmed the dates and are heading into the studio to record our first official EP! keep posted for more details regarding the record and also some in studio footage!
we're also working on planning a tour west across Canada and back in spring! more details to emerge.
the Sin have no shows booked at this time due to recording but you never know when one may pop up so keep checkin' the site for more details!!

"Middelhard Power Metal with organ - you don't hear something like
that very often. These Canadians are situated in between Tad
Morose, Pretty Maids, and Judas Priest get their points especially
by the power voice from shouter Aarom Hemmersbach and the
keyboard sound that's so rare in this genre.
The songwriting is quite interessting and the arrangements are
good. The catchy structure of "Demon I am" or the hitting last song
"Sound beats light" should quickly find their friends.
